Two historic, classic flat track races on back-to-back days July 4 & 5 in Frederick & Hagerstown, MD. if anyone's interested. Here's (http://xlforum.net/vbportal/forums/showthread.php?t=1784978) my other thread.

I sure hope some of ya are gonna make it to Frederick and Hagerstown this weekend. You'll be missing some of the greatest racing in YEARS if you don't.

I just left the Frederick, fairgrounds and the limestone dust track there is groomed and ready for racing.

Earlier today at the Hagerstown Speedway, I saw the track crew getting the hard packed red clay 1/2 mile ready for Saturday's pro-series event after last night's Sprint car races.

Many of the top names in national competition will be on the Frederick cushion track Friday due to the proximity to the National-series event (35 miles up I-70 or Rt.40), and it's been a wild year of competition so far. Particularly, Sammy Halbert and Jered Mees will be holding a re-match of sorts of last week's Lima OH race that Jered won after Sammy blew his engine after leading by a half-dozen lengths or more, for most of the race.

Sat. night @ Hagerstown will be the BIG event on the hard as blacktop red clay with 130mph straight-a-ways leading to the throw-it-sideways turns, handlebar to handlebar. ...not to be missed folks!!!

That looks amazing! The family went to Daytona bike week and we took in a 1/2 mile track 500 singles racing that was a good watch!

One day perhaps I will see the big track flat track.

It is amazing Tich. The hard packed Hagerstown track is exciting but I still prefer the excitement of the cushion tracks with the rooster tails coming off every bike. The weather is going to be simply awesome. Can't wait! :clap

Here's a little taste.
