View Full Version : Hello

I just got a new '08 Nightster. (check out my gallery to see pics) I bought it because I love the old classics, like the early sportster K models & late 20's Indian scouts & such. I think the Nightster has kind of a classic look to it. I plan to enhance that over time. As you can see I have already added the mini apehangers, engine guard, windshield, & teardrop saddlebags. I have also changed the air filter cover to vivid black and added leather fringe grip covers since this pic was taken. I'm planning on changing the seat to a Mustang solo (studded) or a Le Pera Sanora (they should be available for new sportys in late spring) and adding a rack (Motherwell makes a nice one for the N). I'm also think about changing the pipes to the Samson Caliber 2 into 1 black. Would love to get some feedback! Dean (NY)

Welcome to the sight!

I checked out the pics of your bike... I am a big fan of the nightster.
I must say, it was interesting for you to choose that particular bike to install bags and a windshield.

Was that a HD part for the license plate relocation or aftermarket? Please share as others may wonder in the future. Once again welcome!

Thanks for all the warm welcomes guys. Roadking79, thanks for the comments. I wasn't sure about the windshield myself, but since it's removable I went for it. Changing the plate to the rear fender was easy since HD does have an adapter kit for it, it's not on their site though.

I'm a bit late on the welcome; but here it is; welcome to the forum from Australia! Like your bike...looks like a practical solution to carrying things a fair distance, especially if the weather is dubious. Your numberplate relocation kit is also how the International Ns come standard to us.
