I live in Baltimore County MD, anyone know of a good HD mechanic in the area? I have a 1200 Sportster that doesn't quite sound right and would like to get an opinion on it.

I also live in Baltimore, but I don't know of any good local shops. I know of quite a few bad ones though.

I do most of my work myself, but if I absolutely have to use a shop I use these guys:

They're probably ~1 hr away from you, depending where in Bmore County you live. They mostly do older bikes, but they know everything there is to know about Evos too.

They do quality work for reasonable prices. They're all cool guys who live to work onand talk about bikes.

As another option, you could probably post a video on the forum so that we can listen to your weird sound. I bet some forum members could diagnose it for you...

I can vouch for Tigger's wrenching abilities. My bike which you can see in my description was taken apart completely down to the bare frame and cases by him and I last winter with him doing most of the work and put back together with some help from me but mostly him doing all the work. I only wanted to help with the big stuff like installing my new crank and installing all the new performance parts I bought for it and everything else he did when I wasn't there. He rewired my whole bine with a new wiring harness that he had to add stuff to for my accessories. He has all the tools to do the job.
