So did you do the poker run? I think the escorted ride is tommorow. I dont know the exact route but a guy I work with went last year and it was basically a loop around town. I dint know if im going to the ride tommorow but im sure I m going to south end to see whats up, Plus if they have vendors I need to look for a new pair of glasses so I, hoping that I can possibly pick up a pair there cheap, or at least cheaper than the stealers.here is a link to the event for the weekend. -- timf

Nah,they had the route for the poker run posted, all city streets.WTF?

I`m gonna ask about the route for the escorted ride before I pony up for it.
Cant figure out why anyone would go to the trouble of organizing such a big ride, only to route the entire thing through Charlotte with no back roads.

The regular ride is a little country, a lot of city streets, but the cop escort means no stoplights etc etc.

My problem with last year, is that there was no freakin discipline... some folks were acting like asses and making the ride more dangerous than it was already.

I was stuck behind this ethnic "club" who kept thier horns going for the entire ride, kept slowing down, yelling obscenities at every woman on the street, then sprinting forward, weaving all over the place and generally making it a real pain in the ass for anyone who had to ride behind them.

Looks like I won't make it down even to take pictures this year, not up to walking around that much right now, though I have ditched the crutches for a cane.
