I saw him up close and personal…sort of…in 2004/05. My wife was in the hospital in rehab from a stroke when he was in town for a Harley rally. He hit gravel in a turn during a poker run and ended up in the hospital with a broken leg…ankle or something. We would see him in the hallway…he was anything but friendly. He had these guys there like bodyguards and they would bring his dog rocket to his room and to walk the halls. Rocket was a Yorkie or something like that.

This is sweet!
All of the computer systems (desktops, servers, racks and IT rooms) I build or manage look like this. Not once has anyone ever had to ask me "Where does this cable go?".
I used to install fire/safety systems, alarms, video and card access systems and they were up to the same standard. At one High School in San Francisco, the art teacher brought his students in to see the fire panel I rewired after one student tried to hide his grades by torching the office (he forgot they have computers with off site storage and cameras to catch him in the act).
My mom taught me how to crochet at an early age and it came in handy early in my career when wax cable lacing was a true art form. I have been known to go through 100 zip ties on a rack, just to get ready to make it neat.
I am working as a consultant on a project for a large Silicon Valley company to help design the cable management for their new systems, part of which will be visible when installed in the data center. Once it hits production and I get a green light, I will post it. True art when it is done and serviceable to boot.

You are a true Craftsman then! Dad always told me "If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right!"
Pet peeve of mine is working on jobs with the communication guys. Most of them just throw the wire, where it lands is where it's installed.
I worked on a job with an Electrician who wired his panels like that. With the cover off the panel, each wire was run similarly and you could visibly follow each to it's breaker.
Like a man who's proud of his work!

Problem being when you work for a company they are constantly pushing you to finish a job because the whole plant is down because of the one blower you are working on or something like that. Trying to do high quality work at midnight in the rain with 4 plant supervisors standing around is not the same. Even when you have the components in the machine shop it was always a battle with the people pushing and doing it right. Always your fault if you take a short cut and the component fails early too. Shop supervisor never remembers ordering you to pull the used bearing from some other pump and use them to get that pump out.

Obviously not worked then.
From Scientific American here (http://www.scientificamerican.com/article/2014-to-be-hottest-year-ever-measured/): This year will likely be the hottest on record for the planet, with global temperatures 1.03 degrees Fahrenheit higher than the 1961-to-1990 average, according to a new report from the World Meteorological Organization. This would make 2014 the 38th consecutive year with an anomalously high annual global temperature.
Have a read here (http://www.skepticalscience.com/argument.php) for some info that didn't come from Fox News. Unfortunately; the only argument they can't refute with facts and data analysis is the 'it's all a left wing plot' from the ideologically impaired.

Not 90VDC?
Nope, 80V DC. She had four 80V 200A dynamos when launched with the number increased several times. Here is info (https://books.google.com/books?id=5-xBAQAAMAAJ&pg=PA24&lpg=PA24&dq=cruiser+olympia+electricity&source=bl&ots=Ph-sMrpjCf&sig=yyI-lp0eWUeN7eLOLOBwOFYCG1A&hl=en&sa=X&ei=xWutVJSAPIq1ggTeyYCIDw&ved=0CGYQ6AEwCjgK#v=onepage&q=cruiser%20olympia%20electricity&f=false) I found online. Here is the best photo I have, will try and get a better one this weekend when I am there

Thanks! I really enjoy it. And it's cool when I take friends for a tour and point out the stuff I have done! One of the coolest was helping to put in a new deck in the Captain's Quarters. Deck is 4 in square fir planks with the sides milled down so they are shaped like a trapezoid with the wide part down. Then hammer in cotton until it is 1/2 inch from the top. Then came 1/4 in of oakem, and then caulk. I did the cotton part on most of the area visible. I forgot to take a photo of the hammer I was using, but it had museum tags on it!

It truly is Bruce. On the typical tour one first goes through the Becuna which is a WWII Sub, so you get the experience of dull gray, functional, cramped, etc. Then you enter Olympia right into the Officers Country with the Sr. Officers staterooms and it is pure culture shock. Olympia is the crossover from the Victorian age of sail and what would be considered the modern navy. Mixture of elegance and functionality. Olympia also had a set of sails when she was launched so she technically was a sailing ship.
