They come through here twice every year on the migrations. They coat the bare trees with birds and become a moving cloud when they leave out. They light down in the hay fields and pick them clean of every grasshopper, worm, and bug before they move on. They are also very noisy, with a million chirps a minute.

Gray, a few years back, while running down I-75 south of Gainesville, I spotted one of them stalking the fence line just off the expressway on the west side. Was quite a surprise as mid afternoon so it must have been hungry.

Once they get used to the traffic, they don't pay much attention to it. South of Gainesville is Paynes Prairie. Not much in that area but cows. He was probably after the rabbits.

Some horses and buffalo in there now. Paynes Prairie is 21,000 acres of what is basically just a grass lake. Water level depends on how much rain we getting.

Yes, and i forget when it comes to water. It's a shame really, space ( not in between our thoughts ) is far more represented than deep water, only the Dykett or the Le Grand Bleu does it justice. The first 10 minutes of the Abyss was good and the final o2 enriched Flourocarbon liquid breathing media ( is real and sucks ) however i know those ocean dwelling deep creatures and i can say they are not that intelligent .

Yeah, the Buffalo is in Northern Arkansas, not to far from me. My photos are the Meramec river near Steelville.
