For once I don't have smart assed comment

Kind of a sad, thought provoking pic

Lots of crewmen died in so called dual drive Shermans

Only took one or two rounds in the canvas shroud in front or a good size wave and the thing sunk like a brick

Not sure if this was one. After 60 plus years in the drink the shroud would be long gong

It also may be a Sherman stranded at low water, the pic being taken by high water.

I'd like to know where this pic was taken, in the Pacific I presume...

When I was a young guy the cops would pull us over to measure the height of the rear bumper when we jacked up the back of our cars. Now you could drive a Toyota under the bumper of some of these trucks, make them put on mud flaps if they want to parade them on the streets.

This just happened to a guy on another forum I frequent, from a snowblower tire/rim:

"I shattered the bone in my index finger in 4 places pretty good. They had to remove my fingernail on the ring finger and put pins in the fingers. I broke the index finger and thumb in the knuckle on the other hand."

I think that has more to do with the front end diving due to braking. Tucked that Chinese bumper under the German bumper leaving the radiator to catch the trunk.

My elementary school had a set of stairs like this on both ends of the building. The top floor was blown away during a tornado and they just sealed that floor off instead of rebuilding it. Only access was through a janitors closet (which had a lock that could be picked by a 3rd grader with a paper clip).
