View Full Version : Howdy from Tulsa OK!

Chris in T-town. Riding a 2008 XL883, 2-up as much as not. Bought new in December, just rolled 3,000 miles. Added passenger pillion, sissy bar, forward controls, Rinehart slip-ons, laydown plate holder, 105th anniversary covers, tach, and more.....

Bike isn't running very well at the moment. 1 Harley place did the stage 1 download and bigger intake. Didn't work.....Had bike 2 weeks, couldn't make it run right. They gave up and put it back stock and gave it back to me.

Going to the other dealer in town to have them try it. Seem to think they can make it work, plus they have a dyno, so we'll see what happens.

Otherwise, love the Sporty! It has a few things, as you all know that still need some work, like, oh, a whole new suspension system, better seats, and make a brake job....but that will all come in time!

Glad to have found the forum! Now for the reading to begin!:tour

The nice part is when you get it just right, you can actually relax and just enjoy the ride!
I've not changed a thing in about 8 months! Oil & gas that's it, reuse inspection plate jaskets, Amsoil & filter, change filter every other oil change and go! Really cool! just follow manual for servicing and go!

Welcome from just down the turnpike in OKC. Who couldn't get it going; Rt. 66 or M-D?

Hey Guys-

Well I don't really want to point fingers here! I'll just say M-D thinks they can make it run right! We'll see what happens I guess. They are booked full for 2 weeks in service, but are going to just work me in Saturday. That's their dyno day, so they are first come first serve then. So that's really cool of them! See what happens.
