I just got my Russell rotors on and I love em. I had a Ness 6 piston caliper from Performance Machine laying around and put that on as well...

I had a late model Softail caliper with a Storz adaptor HD55A.70C Brake Caliper Adaptor, Smooth Chrome, 2000-up on the bike and it is for sale. The caliper with new HD brake pads, adaptor and caliper insert are now for sale $200. firm. Sticker included. :-) The chrome on the adaptor and insert is perfect the blemishes seen in the photo are fingerprints.

So how much of an improvement did you notice. If there was one thing that really bothered me about the Sporty is the weak breaking. I used to ride with dudes riding ricers and how i envy what their machines would do approaching a corner. Of course their bikes were a hell of alot lighter too.

It is 30-50% better than the 4 piston and the 4 piston was was twice as good as the single... I think that make the Ness Caliper about half of what you might get from a GSXR. In that the bike has half the power of the GSXR they are prolly even.

Just kidding. The 6 piston really stops the little thugster.

Interesting in that first pic is what the 6-pot does to the rotor....I put one on a 2008 wide glide and the rotor looks a bit blued and scuffed like yours does....must be the awesome braking power.

I just put a 4-pot on like the one you took off and it is very good indeed! I already had the drilled rotor.

What gives?

Could be from excessive heat, looks to me like a fixed caliber and non-floating rotor...

That pic was taken after the first (short) ride and the rotor wasn't quite scuffed in.
