Project Ironhead - Build List

Here is my build wish list so far:

1. Frame
Flyrite Choppers SS Sportster Scorcher Hard Tail Frame

2. Lines
All lines such as fuel & oil to be copper with brass fittings.

3. Minimal electrics
No turn signals, no battery, only headlight, tailight and horn. (minimal legal requirements for a 62 in Australia)

4. Solo seat
Harley Davidson Brown Leather Solo Sprung Seat

5. Brakes
Rear - Flyrite Choppers Primary Rear Brake Kit
Front - Flyrite Choppers Primary Front Brake Kit for Springers

6. Handlebars

    on Step 2. I'd use a braided line, for that short rubber section, requiring movement/flex for maintaining consistency in the 'feel' of the brakes. Just rubber may produce a 'spongy' feel over time.

    I read an older post I think you wrote about using juice drums for the rear? I have a 77' ironhead bobber and I have mechanical drum brakes on the rear but I was talking to my friend who builds bikes and he gave me a 15" invader wheel for the rear that came with a juice drum that I'm going to use for the rear I just need to figure out how I'm going to setup the controls

    Juice drums is something I am not familiar with and was always planning on using drums on the rear. Can you give me an explanation on what a juice drum is, thanks.
