tried the pullback risers

Posted 21st May 2008 at 03:18 by emzdogz (EMZ' BLOG mush from Aunty Em's brain)

Went ahead and proceeded with trying the install of 4 inch up and back risers.
Just holding the part up to the top tree prior to beginning, it looked as if it might work.
Didn't seem to be much higher at all, just mainly "back", which is what I wanted.

But anyway, the throttle cable is too short with stock routing and the elec wires are marginally too snug, and the brake line is, eh, too tight too altho it might be doable.

In any case, to get...

rode in....

Posted 20th May 2008 at 13:52 by emzdogz (EMZ' BLOG mush from Aunty Em's brain)

managed to shake myself awake enough to ride in this a.m.
Its hardddddddd sometimes - my brain just wants to stay in sleep mode.
I really DO want to buy less gas from Da Man tho, and riding the bike in to work is one way to accomplish that at least a bit.
Plus its good to have the feeling of the bike not just sitting waiting for Sunday rides.
I know that's a real foreign concept to some folks who ride 24-7.
But DANG I just have a hard time WAKING up enough to ride...

I hate Fridays

Posted 18th May 2008 at 13:23 by Quebeker (My (useless) blog.)

Most people don't like Monday's.
Me, I don't dislike them, it's Fridays I hate.
If $h!t will happen to me, you can bet it will happen when I'm trying to get home (usually Friday), not when I'm trying to leave.

I don't get flat tires on a Monday.
I don't have shippers telling me "the load isn't ready" on a Monday.
I don't drop the drive-shaft on a Monday.
I don't blow the differential on a Monday.
I don't spend 5 hours at Canada...

Paragraphs

Posted 10th May 2008 at 01:14 by Quebeker (My (useless) blog.)

Is it just me but I noticed something recently looking at crap on EBay, a lot of people don't use paragraphs.

Their descriptions can go 10-15 lines and no breaks in it.

I hate that, it just becomes a big block of words and letters and I can't read it.

It gives me headaches and I skip the item.
