Tommorrow, 9am. Ive been asked to be a paul bearer for my grandmothers funeral...this will be my first time...Ive been dreading this day and sleep is as far from me as an opening in the universe...Im calm not upset, infact Im honored to be one of the few to carry her to her resting place....its finality of it...weve been in mourning for about a week...after this the bus fires up and keeps moving...
After this its all a memory...
Memories are good though I suppose, you never forget them...

Sorry to hear about your grandmother. I was pall bearer at mine on my father's side. The grandmother on my mother's side died before I was born. I was very close to my grandmother and was there when she died. It was very sad. You are right about memories. That is the only thing a person can possibly leave behind. In the minds that your grandmother touched she will always be alive and remembered fondly I am sure. Be strong and make her proud.
