    5 years ago today.

I'm not sure you ever get over the loss of a parent that you were bonded too. It would have been nice if she could have met Eva-Mae.

I see that this was posted back in March ......just now saw it.

When I think about it, it feels pretty good.

    More like a lifetime ago.
And sometimes, my life being so different now than it was, it doesn't even feel like it was me, like it happened to somebody else.

Hey Luke... I can see why it feels pretty good. Ten years must almost seem like a lifetime ago for you, yet probably also like yesterday in so many ways.
Your story makes me wonder where I'll be and how I'll feel about it in 10 years time...

    Long freaky Friday.

    My Inspiration

I have to remind myself that some birds aren't meant to be caged. Their feathers are just too bright. And when they fly away, the part of you that knows it was a sin to lock them up DOES rejoice. Still, the place you live in is that much more drab and empty that they're gone. I guess I just miss my friend.

The dollar sign spinners (that probably don't spin) or the smaller tires (that don't touch the ground) mounted next to the bigger tires (that do touch the pavement)?

    Idiots.

Yeah, I saw the original years ago. The funny thing is that the older movie had a newer car. The 1974 movie had a '73 Mach 1 and the 2000 movie used a '67 GT500 (personally, I love both cars!). And yet, even though the GT was about 500 steps from stock, it STILL looked better than either the Private Pyle or the Mazderrari. Even after the crashes, it probably still ran better, too!

    Idiots.

About the pyle of $h!t, I dont know what's worse.
The Chevy emblem on a Mercury?
The flag on the hood instead of the roof?
    It's a 4 door?
    It's a Mercury?
The numbers on the door that looks like they're made out of electrical tape?
    Or all of the above?

The "Mazdarari" is about as legit as a Fiero with a body kit.

The Cage version of 60 seconds is a remake of a movie I actually liked better than the original. Maybe Mrs Pitt had something to do with that.

    Idiots.

That General Lee looks more like a Private Pyle (a pyle of what, I won't say...)

And as for the "Ferrari" (which is about as legit as a street corner "Gucchi" watch), I think Nicholas Cage said it best in Gone in 60 Seconds; "there's too many self-indulgent weiners in this city with too much bloody money!"*

*Ironically, in the movie, the quote was about a Ferrari!
