The Eee PC

Posted 1st August 2008 at 03:48 by glh

Wow, talk about a thread totally bombing. Zero replies. I guess I should stop posting late at night from West Coast USA.

I think this little computer of mine will serve me well on the road. I'm still wrestling with how to configure it properly, get all my data loaded, and protect myself in the various wireless ecosystems I will encounter on the road.

The Eee PC (please forgive the tobacco stains)

XLF is Slow

Posted 30th April 2008 at 01:21 by glh

I sure hope that means folks are getting out there and riding. It seems to me that there was a lot more activity going on when I joined a year ago, but that might be my imagination.

Hard Trunk Install Success - Almost

Posted 24th March 2008 at 04:13 by glh

I'm getting closer and closer to getting my bike setup for Adventure Touring.

Love the new Fairing

Posted 17th March 2008 at 14:55 by glh

Thank Goodness. I've had 2 windshields on this bike and neither worked well.

My original post for help is here:
http://xlforum.net/forums/s...ad.php?t=86885

After 5 months of struggling with wind issues, and knowing I will be touring on my Sporty come early summer, I bit the bullet and bought a fairing. Riding without a shield is a blast, but there...

Zen, Haiku, and Stuff

Posted 1st February 2008 at 04:46 by glh

When I started this blog I thought I would be writing about my experiences learning about motorcycle mechanics, commenting on riding techniques, and the like.

As it turns out, I got past most of my big mechanical hurdles before the blog was live. No doubt more will come along, but for now I am happy to have successfully messed with, repaired, and serviced my bike with the help of xlforum members.

What I didn't expect, was to find myself drawn back to thinking about...
