Do you dual jacket on riding days?

Submit "Do you dual jacket on riding days?" to Google

The weather here can be cold in the morning and hot in the afternoon. Yesterday I had to dual jacket it. The morning was in the 40s (but the high later would be in the 80s) so I put on my Cordura jacket w/liner and stuffed my summer mesh jacket in my saddle bags.

Am I the only person who dual jackets when the weather tells me too?

HELL, Some days I look like a kid stuffed into a snow suit. I have so much on in the AM. Then on the way home I got all that shit stuffed into my back pack and now I look like a freakin camel.

Nope......I wore my leather jacket today and took my heated liner just in case it became cold enough for me to whine to myself stop and put it on. Didn't happen... I toughed it out man.......

The part I'm not telling you is that the ride wasn't all that along......

Nope. I do a fleece under the jacket on mornings and on especially windy days.

My Cordura jacket I cannot wear with temps higher than 70, its way to hot. The summer mesh jacket, I'm freezing if its 60 outside and its liner is just a wind breaker (but its still cold).

I invested in a quality hiking inner shell for our winters. It is light weight and packs tiny, has some stretch and doesn't add much bulk under my jacket. But it is very warm, windproof and breathable with a full length zip for easy on and off and narrow cuffs with velcro fasteners to ensure no wind goes up the sleeve. I use it in the mornings... and if out past 4pm it goes back on for the coolness of the evening.
Of course our winters are much like yours (I think) and don't get much below 5oC (40F) and the days are usually 20-25oC (70-76F). Any colder and I'd be doing like sportyblue, using a heated liner instead of my fleece and plugging in as necessary.
