My little off-topic section.
How stubborn should I be?

I have/had this friend, used to be my best friend. He was my best man at my wedding.
We were college buddies. When I fell on hard times (because of my own stupidity), he and his family opened their house for me till I got back on my feet.
Because of work, I move away and eventually got married and stayed away. But we used to call each other and when we could get together, it was as I had never left.
But I grew up, matured a bit and he hasn't. He still got a hard time keeping a job, drinks too much, smokes too much weed.
When his Mom died, I never got a call. Same when his Dad passed. Again no call when he was sentenced to 6 months for a DUI.
Don't matter, I still called him for his birthday (1 week before mine) this past summer. I told him I was going to be at my Dad's for my birthday and be there for a week. We made plans to meet and stuff.
When I got to my Dad's, I called him, no answer, left a message. Next day, same. Day after that, went to his place, no one, left another voice mail.
Never heard from him. That was the last week of July. When I got home from that trip, I unfriended him on Facebook and blocked him. Deleted him from my phone and generally felt like I had been dumped.
Yesterday, phone rings and it's him. I hit "ignore". The message he left me was that he had just checked his voice mail and was returning my call. 3 months late.
The tone of his voice wasn't event apologetic or awkward, just him being his usual nonchalant self.
That really pissed me off. I wasn't pissed about the situation before but now I am.
He's called maybe 10 times since and I never picked up. Don't feel like it.
I realized I'm acting very chick-like but I don't care, he can go f@#k himself.
