Garage floor and work bench

Final decided to do my garage floor. I looked into floor titles but realized it would cost more to do my garage floor than hardwood the rest of my house, ouch! Someone on the forums brought up a good point about hot slag from welding; it would burn right through the titles (very good point) so I decided on epoxy. Preparing the floor has been a lot of work. I’ve dropped paint, grease and oil. Now I have to pay for my sloppiness with a pressure washer and chemicals. Do your floor while its still clean, so much less work!

I wanted to replace my workbench that I built with scrap wood from constructions around my neighborhood years ago. I looked into Craftsman and other workbenches but again way too much for what I wanted. I went to Lowes and picked up some unfinished kitchen cabinets, then got a Craftsman workbench butcher block 8’. Painted the cabinets with exterior paint and finished it off with diamond plate bottom modeling and peg board on the back. I’m going to get LEDs for under the cabinet. This is going to come in about $200 less than a store bought workbench with storage and lights and have so much more space.

    Floor is about 2/3 done. I used Quikrete Epoxy with flakes and decide to use their high gloss sealer..Need to wait for it to dry then move the bikes and other stuff so I can do the last 1/3 of the garage..
