Yes...09 was the last year for the ecm mounted in the fender. It will fit.

Well got the fender and somehow it isn't as wide as my existing Nightster fender. Does that sound right? Should an '09 Sporty fender be as wide as a Nightster fender? I can potentially send it back if it was incorrectly advertised.

How big of a difference?

Yeah....I call BS. There was no change in the frame from 07 thru 09.

Just reread your post....don't know how I missed it but a 09 fender without a hole for the ecm doesn't exist! As I said right after your post.
.09 is the last year with the ecm in the fender.

I'm sorry man...I read right over that.

The fender I got was a little less than 7" wide, what year you think thats from?
