FWIW, I'm using Flickr, but they are implementing 1000 (max) pic restrictions on your "free" account...... so that might / might not be a concern for you. Anyway if you want to use Flickr, upload your pics to Flickr & make your pictures public, then

Posting on the XLF Forum from Flickr goes something like this:
  • open the photo in question on Flickr
  • hover, in turn, over the 4 icons in the lower right corner
  • the curved right arrow (currently it's the 2nd icon, reading left to right), is the "Share Photo" icon. Click on it.
  • a pop up will display next
  • click on "BBCode" and the screen will refresh
  • two boxes are now displayed on the screen. The bottom box is a drop down where you select the resolution of your photo.
  • for Bulletin Boards / Forums..... select a resolution around 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768 (my preference is 1024 x 768)
  • the top box, contains the Bulletin Board code you need. Cut & Paste that BBCode into the XLF Forum Message window. It will look something like:

    [url=][img][/img][/url][url=]IMG_1079[/url] by [url=]Dave[/url], on Flickr

Next, I prefer to strip out the URL tags (they're just extra "noise") and leave only the IMG tags:

  • to verify the photo will appear ok, hit the Preview Post button on the XLF Forum Message Window. If it looks ok, you're good to go. If it fails to display, the C&P you performed wasn't quite right. You'll need to delete the BBCode.... & start over.
  • for the 2nd & subsequent photos..... repeat the above.
  • adding descriptive text before your photos is generally a good thing.

So the raw text of your XLF Forum post will look something like:
A short paragraph describing pic # 1

A short paragraph describing pic # 2

A short paragraph describing pic # 3

Further narrative as you see fit
Continue to use "Preview Post" button until you're happy with the narrative & pics. Then "Submit"
