You will need the machine shop to re cut the seat even if you somehow get the guide to stay in there. It will be so far out of concentricity in relation to the guide, it wont seal the valve at all. It will wind up destroying more than you just fixed in a quick hurry. You will have more into new head that needs both guides replaced and two valve seats cut. You are destined for that route anyhow if you attempt what your planning, and you will need to buy a new valve as well once that gets caught up in the collateral damage.
It sucks having your bike down, but this one needs some tooling. Sorry Dave, but this one is inevitable.
