With all due respect to record holders and drag racers, the ricers (Japanese sportbikes) are doing quite well.
Harleys but also Sportsters are dinosauruses, even the fast ones.
Owning a Sportster is like racing a fast tractor, it does not matter how fast you go, and there are mighty fast Sportsters, one just looks so damn good nothing else matters. Even the vibrations are special.

I don't know how to get my time slips or Dyno sheets over here from other threads. Yes, I'm disabled on the computer.
My best ever with my thunderstorm motor in a 1993 sporty was 12.39 around 105 mph. Bike had 78 hp and 82 hp without air cleaner. Factory gearing.

95 hp bike ran 11.8's at 110ish mph. Also my 93 sporty with more power. Best ever time on it was a high 11.70 and I also squeezed out a few high 1.6 60's.

97 hp bike, 1992 sporty. 11.8's at 112/113 mph. Factory chassy and gears. Only ran it once this year with high 1.80 60's.

I hope this thread takes off.....I'm trying to break into the 11.60's this year with a factory chassy, no wheelie bars or air shift. Seams like the limit for 100 hp bikes is higher 11's.

I believe for a 100 hp bike to run mid 11's you have to have your ducks in a row for your 60' times. Of course without wheelie bars, air shift ect ect.

So chime up guys, I can't be the only guy looking for mid 11's on a street bike. Lol.

Maybe I'm fooling myself thinking I can run low 11.6's , I'm assuming if I can lay down some high 1.6 60's , maybe there is a chance. I've did it before with the 60 foots. Just been awhile. Thanks madnss
