75 rear sprocket rivets came loose,can i just weld the sprocket on?

I brazed mine on once and it lasted forever...Of course, when you need a new sprocket, it requires a little more work.

NO, the sprocket is Steel the Drum is Cast, best to have it re riveted the right way, we used to think welding at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock was the answer until the drum cast at the weld cracks...

good point,monte03. problem is the holes are all,egged,and you would have to drill all new holes,between the original holes,for a,fresh start. i,tacked mine in place,30 years ago,with stainless steel rod,and the last time i,looked they were still holding.now i'm thinking,nickle rod,might be the best match for, hardened steel to,ferrous,cast iron.
