until I get one, do you shove the oil stick all the way in to check the level ?
And-----where the heck do ya drain the oil tank ? Thanks
I did a search and found several answers ! this one is kinda humorous
Sportster oil checks are done with the bike on the stand after a complete engine warm up to evenly distribute the molassas, excuse me, 20-50 motoroil throughout. The dipstick will be completely inserted to collect the correct data. New sporties, when the dipstick is completely inserted, it will click and be flush with the oil tank. No thanks to the dealership for telling me jack on this. That also leaves you feeling like an idiot for not knowing. But, I had to research also, so dont despair.
