I don't have leg issues. My left leg was amputated at the knee in 1983. Yeah, motorcycle wreck. None of the bike makers were building trikes when I first built that one. That is the third version I tried. The rear end is a kit. I have not been able to wear a prosthetic leg for the past 15 years. Had no choice......... it was trike or don't ride.

Wow, sorry to hear about your leg. Mine don't seem so bad now.
The day the doc said I needed total hip replacements, my first thought was of loosing my job since walking is a vital part of it.
My second thought was a trike.
Got the hips replaced, now doc says the knees need to be replaced.
My first thought was a trike.

Sportsterpedia.com is no longer accepting my username/password. It also won't let me re-register. Did something change in the login?

2014 Sportster Master Cylinder Change
On the 2014 Sportster history you left out the fact that H-D got rid of the underslung Sportster rear master cylinder and went to a side mounted master cylinder fastened to the right footpeg bracket.
Belay that last paragraph! You had it correct I missed the part on the 2014 Sportster the first time I read it. It said: "All models now fitted with a side mounted rear master cylinder (41700025)."
The older underslung master cylinders were problematic. Parrothead complained that he had to rebuild his every year! I've had to do mine twice!

It's more like it just hasn't been added yet RedBeard.
But, it has now, thanks to you.
I credited you with the find. I added the part number for the assembly also.
Thank you.

Please read over the Sportsterpedia section I list with the photo request - That will help you know of what to take a picture - And look at other places in the SP where we used photos so you know how we are using them.
Picture Specifications (Desired)- Remember, these need to be YOUR OWN pictures - Do Not Copy from elsewhere
- Our requests are to illustrate stock parts (submit pics of aftermarket products separately)
- We'll take anything you currently have (that matches our request) if it's a clear picture
- Horizontal pictures preferred - at least 1024px width (to allow cropping)
- Save in JPG format
- Place in a publicly accessible photo host site (then simply post the address in the thread)
- Use a clean background if you are taking new pictures (minimize distracting clutter)
- Use good lighting so the details show up clearly
- Be sure to identify exactly what year/model the picture is taken of - If you know it applies to other year/models, post that with your image address info
- If you know of a particular thread that has great pictures for our needs, please post the link. If they are your PB pictures, please move them to another site so it's simple to retrieve them
Here are a few areas where photos would be helpful:
#1 - http://sportsterpedia.com/doku.php/t...1991_1995_2004
Photos of both sides of the various Belt Drive Sprockets (especially to illustrate the differences as identified) would be helpful - 3/4 profile should show the depth of the splines.
Also, we could use a clear picture of any Drive Sprkt, Belt & Wheel Sprkt, arranged together with a clean background, to use as an example.
#2 - http://sportsterpedia.com/doku.php/t...k:evo:engctl03
Photos of any of the sensors (in place) to illustrate where to find them & what they look like...
#3 - http://sportsterpedia.com/doku.php/t...-_specs_checks
Photos of each type of coil - There are four listed there
#4 - http://sportsterpedia.com/doku.php/t...vo:priclutch03
Photos of handlebar controls - General stock levers & mounts - We need a close-up of the appropriate gap for lever free play when the clutch is properly adjusted.
This section is related specifically to clutch levers - but we'll need nice clean pics of both left & right stock controls/switches for other sections of the SP as well.
If you have other things you think will benefit the SP for illustration purposes, please don't hesitate to mention them - or post a link for us to review what you have...
If we cannot currently use what you have, we'll store it for later usage or evaluation. Be sure to clearly identify what year/model & part to which your image applies.
Thanks to all who have helped & to those who respond to these needs.

We need pics to supplement some of the articles already written for sure.
Upon your browsing of the Sportsterpedia, if you have or can take a picture that might pertain to or add to one of the articles, we'd like to post it there. We will post credits to the owners of the pics as well. In that way, it does help us to already have an article in which to place new pics. But, there are many articles and subjects that aren't written yet so that doesn't have to be a stumbling block.
The specific history pages are waiting for pics of 'stock' Sportsters (57-2018) and specs to be written, in most cases. Those pics, as most others there, can be included now while waiting for us to come back and add the specs when time permits.
Other possible pics could be,
Pics of 'stock' wheels / carbs / handlebars etc. can be utilized.
Pics showing the different features or location of parts (how to identify or where it's located on the bike) and especially part/serial numbers are important to include if known.
Please keep in mind though it is not possible for us to see every part and automatically know what it is, where it goes, what year models it fits, what it's made of and etc. But, with some diligence and your help, we can get it into the wiki to maybe help the next guy who wants or needs to know.
So, it is important to let us know specifics of the pics as IXL2Relax mentioned. In order for the Sportsterpedia to be as helpful as possible to everyone, we don't want to mislead by mistaking parts or year models used on.
Anything you can do is very much appreciated.

This is a bump for request of pictures...
Especially now, for some of the members, your bike is inside during cold weather - that makes it a perfect time to contribute a picture or two (or three or ten) of various stock parts to help populate the Sportsterpedia... (especially before you pack it away for the winter)... But also for you guys/gals who ride all year 'round...
You can pick something from the suggestions above or look thru the Sportsterpedia and pick something that needs an illustration/pic to complement the text or tables...
Just take a couple pics for us and post them up here on this thread...
Of course, you can also help fill out some of the tables that are not up to date thru 2018 by letting us know if the last listed info extends thru 2018 or identify what changed in these last few years... Or submit other research that you've done (or links to relevant threads) so we can expand the SP in areas that interest you...
It will be much appreciated...
