Default Putting a pick-up bed on my Ford F-550

I recently purchased a used Ford F-550 cab and chassis and I need to put some kind of bed on the back, i thought about a flatbed and I don't like flatbed trucks
here are some pictures of the way I got it

and more to come

FLATBED!!....Aluminum rail/boxed frame with a low front wall portion set just below the rear window height. Use Oak planking for the bed itself. Aluminum T-strips between the planks.

Leave the center portion open the length of the bed Approx 18"-24". Use C-Channel on either side of the opening. Now you have a rail system...Next

Build an aluminum ramp that fits inside the width of the opening. Mount metal wheel on either side of the ramp so that they roll inside the c-channel. Now you have a nice slide out ramp. Pull it out, lift it then mover either side of the opening so you can run up a bike on either side of the bed.

Next install a set of aluminum boxes underneath the bed on either side just rear of the cab.

Then...build a set of nice stake bed sides that you can put on and take off as needed.

Boy I wish I had a flatbed... Hrdly

I was thinking about raising the cab by about 3" but that won't work. They don't make a cab lift for a diesel. Mine has a turbo and an inter cooler and all of that would would have to get relocated and no place to relocate it.
I can't lower the bed, It sits on frame as it is.
I'll come up with something

Cut 3" out of the bed all the way around just below the bottom body line. Or cut the bottom out of the bed and raise it up 3", but then it looks like the sides of the bed would sit lower than the sides of the cab, so back to option 1...Channel it

I have another old trick I'll try, over 40 plus years of paint and body work has taught me allot, I'm getting closer all time.
A trip to the Ford dealer to ask about mounting hardware to mount my dually fenders opened up a brand new problem, He tells me that I can't put dually fenders on a single wheel bed
Another stick in my spokes again, I just love stuff like this
Is It 5 O'clock yet
I hung the fender on the bed and supported with some tie-down straps and It doesn't look too good. I have a gap that I don't like

more work
