They’re talking metal stubs for my thumb bases, I think I can hold out a while longer. Happy for you.

Alpine is around $85 a night and they serve cream chipped beef in the restaurant out front for breakfast(don’t ask).
Horseshoe Recreation Area is $22 and 14 miles from the Alpine to the northwest.
There are currently five open camping sites for the weekend of September 8-12 at the horseshoe with ac power. No idea what’s available at Alpine on those days.

I plan on riding Smoke-hole Road and Spruce Knob again during the week of Sept.8-12.
I will be making reservations this evening @ Horseshoe Recreational Area for a place to park my trailer and will be camping there.

Dates are not fixed yet. Pick something.
How about Aug 29-Sept 2 ?
Horseshoe campsite has no showers so it out as a camping choice. that leaves Seneca Shadows National Recreational Area down next to Seneca Rock for us campers unless someone knows of another place to camp.
Getting late to make reservations.

I will split the cost of a cabin/motel room if anyone cares to make the reservation. That's the only way I can make it. Laura may be retiring in August & $$ is going to tight until we get used to the drop in income. We'll see.
