Default v twin Crankshaft Bushing Plate Pilot and Reamer

Hey guys,

I tought It could be interesting to share this with you as I havent seen anything likes this in forum.

Today I went to my local shop to pick up the cam bushing kit that I ordered. The shop owner previusly told me that he would let me the reamers needed for the job wich I was very happy about because they cost a fortune. But when he gave the tools he gave me a plate and just one reamer (I tought he had every I needed for the job but apparently he machines the rest of the bushings on the lathe......) I had never seen that plate before and I tought he fabricated it himself for not having to split the cases, but they sell it on vtwin. The problem is that I can´t line ream with this reamer because it wont fit trough the needle bearings of the crankcase. Has anyone used this tool before? here´s some pictures and the link of vtwin.

Tool is used to do the case bushings on EVO motors. The plate replaces the cam cover an supports the reamer. Reamer is installed through plate prior to bolting plate on the case.

I’m guessing you are wanting to do the cover bushings.

Oh wow, thanks for the info. I'm glad I didn't use it, I thought it was also for ironheads because it's in the 52-up section, but I didn't see that it also says that 1991 1991-up
