Cool Aerostich Suit on a Sportster??

Does anyone wear Aerostich or comperable riding suits on a sporty? Has anyone ever even seen that?

I've never seen it. But, I am thinking seriously about buying a 'stich. Specifically, the Roadcafter 1-peice. It's pricey but awesome. Hopefully I'll have the money in June or July.

Has anyone got experience with these things? The reviews are great, and the company says they vent well enough to be cool in the summer and that they do fine in the wet. Can anyone vouch for that stuff or share any advice?

I use different clothes depending on the weather. I wear FF's also. I've heard good things about Aerostitch. I do have a pair of Motoport's jean style 1000 Cordura pants that are nice. Slippery against the nylon stock seat though. I've recently worn my BMG Challenger jacket (got it cheap on Craigslist) for getting around during the 40 degree nights we've had recently. Get what you want. If it serves a purpose, even better. I won't wear my leathers if I know I'm going to be stuck out in the rain for hours on end either. I'll add, that the 1000 Cordura Motorport pants I have breathe really well in the summer, but they require a separate rain under or over garment if you don't want to get wet... and black does catch the sun a little, which is the color I chose. Additionally, I'd prefer to have a Bohn armor setup underneath instead of using their optional armor. It's good quality but since the pants are not skin tight, the armor feels weird and could possibly shift in a crash.

I have one plain brown leather jacket, one black and grey leather Harley Jacket the dealer blew out for $150, one textile Harley jacket a friend picked up cheap at a swap meet, black full face helmet, black shorty helmet, a pair of black touring boots and a pair of black "sports bike" riding shoes that look like plain runners, thin black gloves, lined black gloves and a pair of black leather jeans I rarely wear. Absolutely no chaps!
Hot summer weather, just a shorty helmet, T shirt, jeans and the running shoe style riding shoes, but I prefer the protection of the jackets etc, just can't do it in july and august....so I can't vote because it depends on the weather.
Wear what you want, whatever you're comfortable with, forget about style or fitting in with what is the "norm" for Harley riders - most look like goofs trying too hard anyway!

Been wearing Stich on my Harleys (and Guzzis and BMWs) since the mid 90s.

I usually wear a Darien jacket, and in the wet or cold Darien pants.

Matter of fact, rode out to Guzzi rally in Ohio a couple of weeks back, 400 miles out one day, 400 miles back the next - about 600 of those miles were all in the rain - a lot of it pouring, sometimes drizzle... cold too, anywhere from 33F-55F most of the time.

Anyway, point is, I stayed BONE dry...

Very much like the stuff.

I have a friend who wears a one-piece Aerostich every time he rides. He's convinced it saved him a lot of damage in a high-speed crash a few years ago, and I'll bet he's right. He says it's pretty hot in warm weather if you're not moving much, but otherwise he really likes it. Wear what you want to, and don't worry about what others think...most of them are funny-looking, too...

I have the Tour Master 1pc Centurion.
Its not the level of a stich, but at $330 it gets the job done.
Keeps me dry, and with the thermal liner in, good to 30's.
CE armor to boot, and loads of pockets.

Had it about a yr now and it holds up to day to day wear.

I'm not a Aerostitch user (bought and returned some Darien pants once that didn't fit; thought they'd be too warm also) but I would not shy away from decent gear even if it dosen't "look the part".
The best function and comfort are the way to go for me. I love Cycleport/Motoport gear. Wear it daily. Takes a short break in period, but very comfortable for such highly protective gear. Specifics would take some time to go into, but very versatile for a wide range of temps and riding situations.

These suits look great, I would buy one if I could afford it, especially on longer trips. The reviews are awesome, I think they are a good idea.

I found that my Darien Light Jacket and Pants are very versatile temp wise. Comfortable to wear with or without layers with lots of venting. Velcro where it's needed, good quality zippers everywhere else.

The entire suit is well thought out and is very comfortable to wear in the riding position.

No need to carry a rain suit.
