KT - 2022 - Show A Little Backbone
I'll be using this thread to post notices of my latest ride reports.
My 1994 Sportster (Kool Therapy) is the ever-present vehicle of these reports.
Most of the adventures are around the south-central Pennsylvania area.
My Motorcycle Chronicles website >>HERE<<
will have my full-length ride reports.
That is an ad-free site, full of pics.
Raider's of the Lost Ark is another one of my favorite films. In the opening scenes, Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) discovers and retrieves a
golden idol, then after losing it to his arch-enemy, Belloq, he has to run for his life from the natives.
He reaches his escape plane, where Jock is waiting, but he also meets Reggie.
Sometimes in life we just have to 'Show A Little Backbone' to get thru it.
Here we are in 2022!
Hopefully, the general conditions for life will be better than last year.

I usually get out for a ride on January 1 of the new year. But NOT this year.
I want to relax and enjoy myself when I ride, not fight the weather.
What a murky start to the new year!
I did roll KT out for a picture of why I didn't go for my ride.

Hey Ken, Happy New Year my friend, May it be a great one!
I did get Black Beauty roadworthy and managed around 200 miles on my annual New Years Eve run. Was checking out fireworks around his are the heavy rain hit so I worked my way home. Looking forward to Pennsylvania this year and the chance to share some more road with you! Keep it safe.

The temps have been so cold or the roads so wet - or snow covered or salted - that I did not get back to riding at all in January. This is the first year I have not ridden in January - at all!
Still no riding up thru mid-February. I think this is the longest that KT has not been on the road since going back together (in 2013).
I still need to pull the rear tire to be replaced - been busy with other things & it's cold in the garage.
I sure hope this winter ends soon.
I'm tired of hibernating!

I was surprised when the forecast suddenly showed a day with temps above 50°.
I took the opportunity to roll KT out of the garage and make a nice, but relatively short, ride around the countryside.
It was great to be back on the road.
I was even more surprised to come across these pieces in a corn field.
Let this be a teaser to visit my ride reports for the rest of the story.

Just popped in here and pleased that you were able to get some roadwork in! Keep-it safe and thanks for sharing. Those chess pieces look interesting, and expensive.

Your New Years pic looks like a perfect day for a dual sport ride through the woods.

Yesterday was a good day for riding in South Central PA, got about 3 hours in and around the area. Ken, hopefully it looks like it will warm up next week; however, with this latest blast there is salt on the roads again. Oh well, it should be gone sood one would hope.

I finally got back in the wind. I had a minor back injury that has kept me from riding for a few weeks. I decided I was over that enough to go have a nice ride with the decent weather.
I rode in southern Lancaster County for about 4 hours. It was great being back in the wind.
This is Sickman's Mill on the Pequea Creek.
You should check out my ride report for more information about this mill (where I met Jimmy) and the rest of my ride.

Just peeked into your last update, sweet. Anxious to get over that way. Should be close when we wrap up C.O.B.B.II April. If no then the Allegheny run.
