I've added some more information and part numbers for the now obsolete ProFlow oil pump.

Hippysmack,
Is there a complete summary to tear down and build a Sportster motor?
As it is, Hammer Performance has videos, a list series of do's and don'ts and the Harley service manual all have to be referred to.
Sure would like a check list. Am I asking too much?

Thanks for the idea.
There are always many variations to take into account. I doubt there can be just one list to cover every circumstance.
We're always open to others creating such a list for their specific project and detailing what they have done, thereby, making it easier for others to follow suit.
We'll be happy to merge that information (along with other's contributions) into the Sportsterpedia.
As editors, we don't always have the time to create everything that is needed.
Your contribution is welcome.

Truthfully, we're not THAT used to getting too many requests.
As IXL2Relax mentioned, there are many considerations depending on your build.
But I think we can work something up given some time.
I have a few things to tidy up and I'll see what can done.
If you or anybody else can help bring some information / links / concerns / whatever comes to mind, then it'll help build it.
We have tips and things throughout the SP on certain subjects but I'm sure not all needed.
But I'd be willing to work on it.

Anyone looking around for build info owes it to yourself to spend time on Hammer's YouBoob channel.
Exhausting detail, cannot say too much but there is a lot of information to getting it right...

Yes, very much information on their site.
Truth is, If buying from HammerPerf, it's best to follow their procedures (if you value a warranty).
But always, follow the factory manual unless your builder / supplier has alternate instructions.
Aftermarket products sometimes mandates changes to the FSM procedures.
So building a checklist will get very extensive trying to account for all scenarios and builder/supplier advice.
So it's best I believe to leave it at that as for a checklist in SP.
As always, anyone can post a question or build thread on the XLForum for general help or just to have more eyes on the subject.
Just a general statement:
Trust your builder/supplier. If you can't for whatever reason,...…. don't use them. Your bike will thank you later.
