Default 02 XL horn issue

Just bought a 02 xl883 everything works great on it but the horn. I got it home and ran it for a while. Changed the oil and started it back up. Beeped the horn for the hell of it and that was the end of it. Got a small chirp out of it and than nothing. Just wondering if anyone has any insight into how to trouble shoot it to make sure I correct the wrong problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Should be a fuse, start there.

Thats what I thought. But I looked under the seat where I thought it was and could not find any fuses only ones I can find are on the side and I believe them are for the starter. Any ideas where the horn fuse would be?

Found the four fuses in the side panel and all checked out guess I gotsta to get a dc multimeter and check the switch and horn.

If everything else works and the fuses are ok, check the wire connectors at the horn for corrosion. Also the ground at the mounting bracket, and and check for broken wires. (You may have something living in the horn housing, if it's been stored for a while.)

On yours it should be 12 volts. On much older scoots it was 6 volts but yours being a 2002 is definitely 12 volt.

Horn? What's that? I wired my garage door to my horn button. Oh, and..
