I was not very exited to find trans fluid all over the back of the bike and rear wheel... I also run a cam cover vent instead of a head breather setup. I am installing this for both vents.

I am basically running the same engine configuration as last year. The only difference is the XR crank in the 91 block. I did not have any issues with S&S carb pissing out the overflow or drawing through the Tjet at stage rpm. I have lowered the float so the fuel level is 1/4 inch below the bottom of the overflow port outlet. I did change the way the carb mounts, instead of mounting to the heads, it now mounts to frame. I'm thinking it is adding significant vibration to the carb...

Any input is appreciated.

Where did you get that catch bottle. I use an old beatup pill jar. I might want to upgrade it haha

Default Anyone go racing last weekend?

I was fighting exhaust leaks and spitting gas out of the vent on my Mikuni when staging..

Today I picked up new exhaust flanges, as my ancient flanges were bent to shit, as well as new gaskets and a new parts kit for my mikuni.

Well when I pulled the carb off I realized the vacuum cap had come off the port normally used for the VOES signal..

I put all the new parts in the carb and capped that port off. After annoying the shit out of my neighbors staging the bike at 7k in the driveway it seems to have stopped puking fuel.

Let's see how it runs this Saturday...

It was tight. .065 to my .069 light..
11.15x on 11.11 dial to 9.22x on a 9.20 dial... Burped it too early trying to get him to take stripe and break out...

Not gonna lie, not a fan of burping farting breaking at the top end but one of the 'joys' of bracket racing that I'll have to get used to if I wanna go rounds I suppose.

I used to just run out the back... Lost way to many on a break out. Finally learned how to judge the stripe and started going rounds... Been doing it ever since... Especially when everyone else is holding...

I hear ya man....I'm getting tired of being caught at the top end by these ricers and watch them coast past me...need to get them at the tree or dial in some space.

Yep... Thats exactly what used to get me... Had a guy on a 9.30 bike with no lic dial 10.05 and catch me at half track and burp it all the way down the track.... Mad as f&@$#!! After that race.... Thats what drove me to get better at bagging
