Ever been pulled over?

Had my licence suspended (12 points) for a month, six months after getting my first bike. I found out about the suspension when I received a letter in the mail informing me my licence had been reinstated and the next suspension would be for six months.

North Jersey, 1971, this bike, I was 17.



I had 14 date stamps from the state run inspection station on my registration.
They’ed Fail me for something new every time and chuckle while doing it. Sometimes twice in the same day.
Only in my home town would I get a ticket. And lots of them. Any other town, the cop would look at all the date stamps, shake his head, and let me go. Even a State Trooper who said I “ Looked like I probably stole the bike “ let me off the hook.
$400+ in fines and court fees that first summer. The judge was a typical NJ Mafioso who kept threatening to revoke my license even though I had no moving violations or points. Needless to say I moved out of town pretty quickly after graduation.

My mom called and woke me up at 3 am when she heard on the scanner that the EMTs found him dead in bed.

In 78 I got thrown in jail and my permits taken away for a year.
I was out running around on my dad's 750 Tiger and I decided to out run the local cops... not a good idea in a small town. Anyway I got away, only to get caught later by the same cop when I dumped it , no real damage but cop made me walk the bike 1/2 mile home and then drove me to jail where I sat for a day until my parents got back in town to bail me out. I remember getting 4 years of probation and $300 fine and worst part was the community service, picking up trash for 6 hours a day all summer while my friends were out having fun.
Ahh... you never forget your first time.
Since then have been pulled over and ticketed several times but the last time was just given a warning for being " STUPID " said the cop, when I accelerated across an intersection with the front wheel pulling up slightly. I told him I was as surprised as he was for the wheel to come up when I hit 2nd... cops have little humor..

25 years ago I outran/outfoxed a State Trooper trying to run me down for cruising down the road w/a doobie hanging from my lips (just had lit the darn thing).
he was coming toward me and saw me....blue lights on......I laid on the tank and hammered it while he was turning around to chase me......
I ran hard for 4 miles then pulled the bike behind the mobile home we lived in, and was sitting on the front porch when he flew by....blue lights still on.

nope....never been stopped on my bike...technically.

Your story jarred my memory. 1971, Cocoa Bch.,Fla. Me and a friend riding on the bch. , legal back then, a dog got loose went under my rear tire, killed it. Well the lady owner is freaking out. Cop shows up. We follow him to the station, pay a $35 fine. On the ride downtown I realize I got 4 RedBud joints on me. Most people would have pitched them. Not me, I ate them. Boy I was upped when I left the station.
