Default 98 s10

Got a 98 S10 has a 4.3 replaced 4 cyl. Started it up gauges all started jumping around started miss firing losing power then goes dead.Any body have a fix?

I brought like this.It has a switched elec fuel pump a push button starter but you still have to use ing switch to the on position and off to kill it it all worked good pretty tough lil ole trk stopped at stop sign guages started jumping around enging missing and finally went dead,would restart but no power engine missing and go dead.

v6 in place of a 4 banger.

you probably still could pull codes out the ecm. but if the system is hacked, probably will have codes that set codes.
98 model, seems the crusher is the place to go.
does it have the throttle body or 6 manifold injectors? if you have spark, then go for fuel pressure.

If me. I'd start tracing wires till I found the short. Hot wire probably touching ground intermittent or melted to another wire.

I am only saying this because it worked before. Probably need to buttress (re-enforce) the fix.

New wire. Heat shrink. Solder, etc.......

Edit, Anyways. That is where I would start before ecm.
