I know Im all ears to hear from the guys that have been there done that, MrMom for sure and perhaps it sounds like MR Nitro has been around a thing or two. I personally know that my HD drag racing/ hot rodding started in the 80's and I feel like an infant to some of these guys. Pease share, I know I will respectfully listen.

I've been on here for about 6 years now. Some people who used to post a lot left, or post a lot less. Others have joined or post more. That's the natural cycle I guess.
Overall to me this is still the most informative, BS free, IH place on the net. Some of the IH FB groups are unreal - the attitude/helpfullness ratio there is not good, here it is.

Update.

I was unable to find a choke block for it, so the carb ended up on my electric start 3 3/8" x 5" stroker. All it takes is a few extra starter revolutions to start it up.

I had an air bleed made by a machinist, which I fitted with a ball from a bearing.

I made the ntermediate jet out of a threaded part of a 1/4-20 bolt and a copper tube.

Backing plate (without the choke assembly) and the cover are from Linkert DC (I gave up my attempts of making it work on my 900 and put a GAL on it).

Float bowl with a brass float is from GAL carb - had some "meat" welded up inside so I could drill a hole for top right screw.

Sorry for the red spark plug cables, my only excuse is that I bought them few years ago for $2.50/a dozen.

that's impressive for making the best with what you have.a 900 with a GAL that couldn't have been simple either.GBL more common?
