Edit: Forgot to mention. I* don't do pre ride checks. If it breaks. I'll find out eventually. Noticeable stuff like flat tire or wire smoking when hitting
hitting the start button is pretty hard to miss.

I would take air in the tires more seriously than looking at the tires. I had a situation back around 09 where low pressure in the front caused the bike to not handle hard braking when I needed hard braking. Short story was - long slide down the 91 freeway. Since then I keep an aluminum baseball bat in the garage next to the door, and I thump the tires every time I pull one of the bikes out of the garage. I know the correct "ring" of the tires and maintain that now because sliding down the freeway isn't as much fun as it used to be when I was younger.

Everything else I keep an eye on constantly but not daily.

for my part i was once (almost 20 years ago) guest in the plaster roorm at the city hospital... i did not like very much furniture and tapestry in that room... so i swore to not enter there anymore... for good...
