Thanks Mick. Used to just sharing from my photos.
But then why make it easy?
I'm off riding my "unsafe" bike.

Back to my original question with a twist. Does anyone know in what year of early Sportster with 33.4 tubes Harley make longer fork tubes? I think that it was 1968 but I am not sure. Also, how much longer did they make them--1"--2' or more?

I suppose I could install earlier tubes to accomplish a front end drop. I know that the dampers were very different as well so They'd also have to be changed out

^^ Hmm, no reply to that last question, but the answer would help my predicament. I’ll keep looking.

I have 13.5 in.shocks on my K-model and to lower the front I shortened the damper tubes. I cut a section out of the middle and welded it back together. That just moves the slider up higher on the tube,no need to shorten the spring. ....mike....
