Default Sportster fenders and fuel tank

Can anybody tell me if both fenders and fuel tank from a 2006 sportster 1200 custom are compatible with a 2005 sportster 883 low?

Default '05 & '06 fenders & tank swap

Say! That is the very question I was wondering about. I'm thinking it should be do-able w/o much hassle?

As far as I know, tanks and fenders interchange between 2004-2006 Sportsters whether they are 883 or 1200, without any mods. If you go from a peanut tank to a 4.5 gal. tank you need the matching seat.

Best not to guess.

That's the point. The 883 Low had a 3.3 gallon tank, and the Custom has a 4.5 gallon tank, which is longer. The seat on the 883 Low is longer (forwards) than the Custom seat, and won't fit with the longer 4.5 gallon tank.

The seat is a very easy modification if you chose to go that route, some just let the seat press against the back of the tank. You can peel back the front of the seat cover, cut a little foam off and reattach the cover, easy peasy.
