Default S&S to CV Manifold Flange Adapter

I'm swapping out my Super E carb for the stock CV on my 97 sporty 1200s.

If I use this adaptor, would it extend the CV carb out too far to use the CV support bracket?

Last edited by T_worth; 26th January 2021 at 19:36.. Reason: CV carb, manifold, support bracket

I haven't talked with CVP about it, but I'd be very surprised if it doesn't place the carb out farther than stock. Give them a call, they should know for sure, but that's the answer I'd expect.

Real reason I'm posting though is to let you know of a lower priced, high quality alternative to that Gas Box product: http://www.hammerperf.com/xlairclean...meraccessories . It's the black one shown there. We used to get these from Buell, because it was the best one we had ever used. But when HD discontinued it, we basically copied it, with some improvements to improve fitment across the spectrum of decked and undecked heads, and contracted a company make several hundred of them for us. So now it's a HAMMER product. As an XL Forum member, you get 10% off, too.

I have the one Aaron's talking about. It's a nicer part than the Gasbox one I had. Mine was the aluminum one they don't seem to sell outside of Lowbrow though. Those look good, and I'm sure a steel one would be alright, but the alu pieces are a little too easy to snap.

Oh, and you could try one of these for mating to the manifold

That's a Lectron piece.

That’s probably the simplest way unless getting one proves difficult for whatever reason. I just thought the Lectron piece was worth mentioning since it’s certainly lower profile than the CVP piece that was mentioned.

I could, but I don't have one. I'm being lazy and seeing if I can just leave the s&s manifold on and buy an adaptor.
