Mine at least has compression. kicks over and shifts OK.
Picked it up from a older colored man who abandoned it in his back yard for decades in the texas sun. Should be needless to say it did not cost me nothing.
Was toying with idea to weld it on a pole and mount it by shop.
Been trying to give it away.
No takers.
