Default Superbike school on Nightster

I decided to take my Nightster to superbike school. It won’t be for a couple months yet, but I signed up. The nice lady that reserved my spot said it’s common, they have lots of Sportsters take their schools.

I did it for an intensive course on throttle control and learning curves and cornering skill.

Have you done it? What to expect?

Pay attention
and...
Enjoy...

P.S.
IMO the most dangerous moment is when you are very confident and you are beginning to think you can do everything on her...
Pay respect to her... she will take respect of you

Did several “open track days” with Sprink, learned more and gained more confidence in those couple days then 50 years of riding previously!

Something else I do is take an advanced course every 3-5 years.
You would be surprised how much you forget.
The guys out of Fla. do " Ride Like A Pro." seminars all over and it cost about $150. last time I took one.
It also cuts insurance cost most of the time.

Keep in mind our track days were not races, classes and track time learning braking and turn points and most importantly developing confidence in our tires. Exploring those limits taught me that even stock tires will give far more grip and handling than many can appreciate. The bonus being a closed track, no cagers, no L.E.O. So you can concentrate on feedback from the bike underneath you. A real challenge became running entire laps and never touching the brakes, (well maybe exiting the end of the straight).

Well old time riders say remove the brake lever and learn to ride on the track with no lever.

I did a Keith Code school on Loudon's old 1.7 track back in the 80's. Well worth it. Tools that stay with me always.
