Default I recieved my new 1960 XLCH from New-Orleans

Well after more than 2 months my 1960 XLCH arrived in Geneva (Switzerland) 2 days ago.
Beautifull even if covered with rust...
Lot of parts are paint in black or chromed, but the rust was not correctly remove before.
The chain is full of dry rust. It’s the first time I can touch a chain that is completely dry.
You may imagine the result.

Ok I love my bike...
About the engine:
Hum , I turn gas and the S&S Super B leaks a lot...
Hum the magneto make no light in the plugs...
I will spend few days to clean the easy rust, and the Wonder about the magneto.
I open it and it seams to be like new inside. I remove the outside wire that is used to cut the engine. I pushed the sping and noticed that it's always 0.8 ohm (resistance) I wonder if this is normal ?

'pushed the spring...0.8ohms resistance'.
You will need to clarify what you are measuring across.
If you are measuring across the points, it will show a value when the coil is still part of the system.

Thanks a lot for your welcome messages.
As I had not life answer from the engine, I remove the air filter to use Starter Spray inside of the S&S carb. So I noticed that gas was leaking inside of the carb as soon as I open the gas line.
Inside of the magneto there is a “breaker point kit. I measured 0.8ohm even if I pushed the spring. Yes of course the coil is connected. I heisted to dismantle all the wire first as the access may not be easy.
I read that S&S Super B and magneto is not the winner team to start engine in one stroke.

welcome to the wonderful world of Harley Davidson, by the time you finish, you will be a master mechanic. you will have a ton of help here but first, get organized. make a list on needs and tackle them one at a time. this will help in logic and keep the thread from bouncing around and perhaps confuse things. my first hd was older and I admit, it kick my butt and I take my hat off to those whose ride them. those era machines have beauty of their own but also come with idiosyncratic issues.

if gas is running out of a,hole in the right side of the carb,likely the float is stuck down.when it rises up with the gas level it's supposed to shut off the flow of fuel.

Thanks for welcome message, the explanation the fuel leaks and links for magneto.
Well I bought my 1992 Sportster in 1992 with 500miles second hand, and I still have it now. I already change everything that may break one day.
I had never problems with my CV carb and I change the ignition system for dual plugs per cylinder and dyna single fire with two coils.

But no experiment with magneto and S&S carbs for my “new” 1960 XLCH
Thanks for links that I will translate (in French) and print to be able to fellow the points close to the bike.
For the carb, perhaps I just need to open the down plate to remove dust that avoids stopping the fuel (?)
