Default 900 heads contd..

I replaced the braided steel oil lines I put on back in the '80's with oem style rubber hose. IMG_0053 (1) by Bruce Stoudt, on Flickr IMG_0066 by Bruce Stoudt, on Flickr a -52 oem brake rod to replace the chroIMG_0067 by Bruce Stoudt, on Flickrme one I put on in the '90's.parkerized. the reworkedIMG_0056 by Bruce Stoudt, on Flickrd XLR heads by mrmom9r. exhaust port. IMG_0059 by Bruce Stoudt, on Flickr intake port. IMG_0058 by Bruce Stoudt, on Flickr Kibblewhite -R valves 1.950 int. 1.750 ex. IMG_0057 by Bruce Stoudt, on Flickr IMG_0065 by Bruce Stoudt, on Flickr silver paint and stub fins.my 1960 XLCH has it's 900 heads back again.

Very sexy Bruce! Are those ports welded to get that shape? Looks like there's a different colour metal in there but hard to say for sure from the photos

Default i know mom9r did the port work

he do the bolt hole ,oil drain relocation and fire ring counter bore enlargement to make the xlr's fit your 1000 cyls you still running the early 1000 cyls or did you get a later set while you had her tore apart?

I don't think that's necessary on a motor this size.Don didn't mention welding.he did mention years ago that brazing rod was the filler material of choice. that would be very easy to spot.

Yeah that would be easy to spot Bruce. There does seem to be quite a different shape to the port as it goes towards the chamber. I guess that's the D shape that's meant to flow so well

Whatever the case this is a very cool and desirable ride Bruce. I love that you've got the 900 heads back on there, looks so stock but it's anything but
