All of the welding tips are good, but the OP has no welding capabilities.

Where did you get that info? It is incorrect.

No worries. No I put the two wheels on the back burner and went on with other task. I will be picking up a dozen nuts at Tractor Supply to weld onto the frozen allen heads.

Bummer, I've had some like that.

One thing about use of an air gun, I get better results by using a low
torque setting and letting the gun 'hammer' the bolt for a while.
Too high torque and you snap the bit.

I also soak with PB-blaster (not WD-40) between heat cycles.

I agree about the low torque! I said put some pressure on it, not try and twist it hard? This tool works much better than the impact driver most motorcycle guys are used to. The vibrations will break the bond holding the threads.

I really hate the Torx bolts used on new bikes , really easy to break the bits or twist the center out of the bolts. I wish the engineers that design this shit had to work on it!

Had the same issue with the mags on my '81 XLS. Just snapped the bit off inside the head. Drilled a small hole on the outer edge of the tapered head then using a centre punch at an angle in the hole, knock the punch counter clockwise. The shocking effect works a treat, no welding reuired. Good luck.
