Default Cracked Rear Fender

I have some cracks forming on my rear fender from right were the last bolt on the sissy bar mount is.

Is this common?

Can I stop it or do I need to replace the whole rear fender?

Was planning on leaving on a 3,000+ mile trip middle of next week, but I'd hate to leave my taillight and half my fender on the highway.

Add some rubber washers and fender washers the help dampen and spread the pad out. Take your trip, have fun!

hummm, leave a stocker and come back a bobber, boat tail, duck tail or whatever. bring some duct tape so you can make a swing arm tail mount.

Well bringing the duct tape was a given.

I think I will also include some Zipties incase I have to mount the lights and license plate to the sissy bar.
