2nd the Hockey puck modification!

Put on taller rear shocks and progressive front springs to raise my xl1200c. Bike looked like it was going to fall over. A $2 hockey puck, from the local ice rink, did the trick!

That's cool, except won't the bike slide around when you park on ice?

Getting past my joking around, I like your ingenuity.

I put 12.5" 412s on my Custom. They raised the rear about an inch from stock. Didn't change the stand. I can tell it leans a bit more when on the stand & it's a bit heavier to pull it upright when mounting, but not enough to make me want to get a longer stand.

George, what stand did you put on, and how much longer is it than stock?
Thanks

Hey 83XLX, can you please tell me what stand and where you got? I'm wanting to do the same.
Thanks

I bought it from J&P Cycles, but it fits Ironheads. I don't think it will work on a newer Sportster.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it (especially if you don't know what you're doing). Most Sportster problems are owner-induced.
