Sissy bar and rack for 883
I love my '95 883 XLH, but it's hard to carry anything. I have some really nice Italian hand made small leather bags, but they are really just too small. I'd like to find a shorter sissy bar and cargo rack to be able lash up the odd item to transport, yet still keep it simple and clean.
My criteria are, chrome, and I don't want to relocate my rear lights. Also, I only run a solo seat. I don't expect to ever have a passenger, so I don't want a pad on the bar.
I'm coming up short. Anyone have any ideas?

My brother used a vertical bag on his sissybar. That can be done either rearward or forward (with a solo seat).
On my '94, I used a Motherwell Fender Rack and strapped my vertical bag onto the rack in a horizontal position.
But you could combine the fender rack with the sissybar to have a place to mount a bag forward of the sissybar.
There are lotsa bags available from which to choose. I bought mine 2nd hand & made it work for me.

That's about what I have in mind. Where to go for this?

The Motherwell product (37-470) is well made - The Chineseum version ???
If you buy aftermarket, make sure the mounting holes are right for your OEM fender.
You'll pay a premium for the Motherwell version ($130):

Maybe the 2004-later version would fit with a slight change to the mounting hole on the fender rack.
They seem to be available at a better price point.
I bought mine from a Sportster.Org member (long ago) for $40.
The mounting holes in my aftermarket Ducktail fender were not
exactly the same as the OEM fenders so I had to make the mounting
hole in the rack a bit longer to fit. All Good.

Jeez Louise. $130 for a little rack? A little steep for my taste.

The one I got off Amazon from post #6 really didn't fit. The angle at the seat side flange is wrong. I sent it back. I'd be afraid to order one direct from China for that same reason, return shipping.
Too bad, because it looked good.

I dented a fender with one of those. I had this on my '95, from TC Bros. Comes in chrome too.
