I agree. Following someone with the version that detects deceleration and turns on drives you nuts following them. The version that just adds the flashing led's isn't as bad but is still annoying.

I agree. The Skene lights are available with and without the decelerometer. They are also programable to pulse a couple different ways or not, just coming on with the brake light ( or turn if equipped). There is also a 'flicker' feature they call conspicuity (?) . It is kind of dazzling to look at. That can be turned on and off as well. I use only that feature. I have surveyed followers and had no complaints about that. Some thought they were just failing or cheap, others said it gets your attention (good or bad?). Don't know if I asked Tomcatt in Cuba.

I bought the HD license bracket LED thingy but didn't like it for reasons I forget, maybe too bulky. I removed it then exchanged front turn signal sockets into the rear turn signal housing's while adding red rear turn signal lenses. They still flash as needed when signaling a turn but if the brakes are on the opposite side rear turn signal becomes a brake light. Actually, it might be a Harley module meant to be used for the stock bulbs to add the brake light functionality to the opposite signal, it was plug and play. My addition of the front turn signal sockets was to add rear running light functionality to the rear signals by splicing into the front running light harness. Hence the need for red lenses. I also use brighter bulbs for the taillight and turn signals. The running light elements, taillight and now rear turn signals, remain stock wattage but the flashing elements, both taillight brake elements and turn signal stop/blink elements flash brighter. I also exchanged the front turn signal bulbs for the same purpose. The stock flasher has held-up fine and I've not noticed shortened bulb life either.

Just put a set of Skene P3 on my Pan Am. Cyclops has purchased Skene. The new lights are nicer looking and seem brighter than the original product.

When I turned the bike on for the first time, I thought I had wired something wrong because they are so bright. Nope. The running lights are bright, but the brake lights are really bright! The stock brake light is pretty minimal.
