Some... the biggest were the remains of a city and a "necropoli" (grave yard) in Marzabotto... for what i know scholars are still working overthere
Carabinieri (literally the word means "men with carbines") are a high respected military police... and no one like kidding with them...
we have since 1861 regular Police in big towns... and Carabinieri on countryside and villages

Thanks for being more specific.
Well,we*ve had a friendly body-language based communication;seeing my foreign license plate,they thought I am a lost tourist in the countryside,and trying to redirect me to the main routs, to big touristic hubs...he-he...was a bit hard to make them understand that I am very pleased with were I am,and following sideroads/backroads,I*ll see more from your country.

I can't recall exactly...but well before Rome;was coming from Bari.
By the way,talking about your local police...couple of years ago we almost both a 750 police Moto Guzzi,seller was the retired policeman itself,in some village NE from Rome.

My funny written english..he-he...I mean we almost bought the police Guzzi,but have it skipped in the last moment,due missing pillion seat configuration(also in the papers);then found a nice Nevada Classic 750.This friend of mine is pleased with it,but we still try to figure out why it shakes your socks off in the boots by a nasty footpeg vibration around 4k rpm.I told him to buy a Sportster,...he won't listen to me.

Nevada is built thinking about some Harley... same baggers philosophy
I prefer other more roadwhorty Guzzis though... like i prefer Sportster out of all Harley...
