Or fuel station trash can. Usually enough left in the bottom of a qt bottle left over from impatient motorists topping off their eng.
(then again, I doubt the OP would benefit from from this tip. Most likely not much waste on the road to Prudoe.

I have a 55 gal drum that is half full of chain wax. I need to find a way to get the stuff out of the drum and into containers. Anyway, I agree, chain wax is great for most conditions.

your o-ring chain probably does not need lube for a long time. the whole purpose of the o-ring is to preserve the lube inside the roller/pin area. if the chain is working right, as the roller engages the sprocket tooth, it will roll hill/valley/hill and the wear on the roller/tooth is nil.
by adding lube, it will attract dirt and increase roller/tooth wear. before o-ring chains, it was common to soak a chain in oil/grease mix in the molten form and the remove once cooled to a gel and passing it through a rag to remove the outside excess.
the chain wears internally and when compromised, the roller will drag the tooth and over time, the tooth will sharpen and bend over since that is the highest point of contact force.
